The developers behind the Tesoro Viejo planned community understand giving back to the community is an essential pillar of any well-rounded development.
With a mission to foster a strong sense of community, Tesoro Viejo was proud to lend its support to three events for worthwhile causes earlier this Fall. Hosted at Tesoro Viejo, these events raised nearly $400,000 with help from the local community to support partnerships with the Alzheimer’s Association, local Valley Children’s Hospital, and the American Heart Association.
In early October, Tesoro Viejo hosted the second annual Sip & Support event for the Valley Children’s Hospital. With help from presenting sponsor Teichert, those who attended enjoyed a selection of local wine, handcrafted beer, delicious food and desserts, as well as a silent auction at the Tesoro Viejo Ranch House Clubhouse. The local community came out in droves to support the nonprofit effort and raised over $50,000 in support of Valley Children’s Hospital’s Adaptive Sport Program.
With a mission to come together and get hearts pumping to support survivors, the Central Valley Heart and Stroke Walk raises lifesaving funds while encouraging fun along the way! On October 8, hundreds of people of all ages participated in the annual event that triumphantly collected over $195,000 to fund the next heart and stroke medical breakthrough.
The event promoted camaraderie and health with live music courtesy of the Marie Wilson Band, food trucks, health screenings, a pet parade, fitness breakouts, CPR training, and more!
In late September, Tesoro Viejo teamed up with the Walk to End Alzheimer’s to raise awareness and funds for lifesaving research and medical advancements and to find a cure for Alzheimer’s disease. Over 128 teams and 854 participants banded together to raise almost $145,000 in support of the Alzheimer’s Association.
“We are thrilled to sponsor these events that benefit local non-profits that are so vital to the strength of our area,” said Brent McCaffrey, President of Tesoro Viejo Development. “It’s inspiring to see so many people come together for these worthwhile causes, and we look forward to future collaborations in 2023 and beyond.”
