On Saturday, September 28, lace up your walking shoes for the American Heart Association’s
2024 Central Valley Heart and Stroke Walk with host sponsor Tesoro Viejo, planned community in Madera. This annual event brings together friends, family and coworkers from across the Central Valley, all participating in support of the American Heart Association’s lifesaving research to end heart disease and stroke, which remain the No. 1 and No. 5 killers in the United States.
The walk begins at 9 a.m. outside the Tesoro Viejo Welcome Center (4150 Town Center Blvd | Madera, CA), with check-in and a pre-walk program kicking off at 8 a.m. The route is 5K, with a one-mile survivor route. Heart and stroke survivors will be celebrated during the event with capes, hats and a dedicated lane at the walk finish line.
