Residents Live, Work and Play at Tesoro Viejo - Meet Lora Baggiolini & Craig Ranells

At Tesoro Viejo, it’s the residents who truly bring our award-winning community to life, like Lora Baggiolini and Craig Ranells. Drawn by the beauty of the Tesoro Viejo trails and the chance to be closer to family, Lora and Craig have already made lasting memories here at our community. From exploring our trails on their bikes to saying “I do” at a stunning overlook with views of the San Joaquin River and Sierra Nevada Mountains. Their story reflects what it means to connect in a community where nature, adventure, and family come together every day.

Q: Can you share the story of how you chose Tesoro Viejo’s trails as the place to say “I do”?

A: We have been riding mountain bikes and gravel bikes in the area with friends since 2018. We have loved exploring on the trails!

The restrictions of COVID were in effect in public places during May 2021, so we opted for a wedding that was outdoors. We love a great view, so we chose the overlook located past “the kissing gate” to tie the knot. You can see the river and the expansive view of the Sierra from there.

To get to our wedding, everyone had to either hike or ride their mountain bikes. I wore floral hiking boots and got ready down by the river for the big day!

Q: What made the trails the perfect setting for your wedding?

A: It was a great location to be out in nature, we have many memories on the trails from previous bike rides, and it felt like a bit of a “destination wedding.”

AXIS provided us with a great space for tasty food for our reception and a place to dance and have fun.

The wedding reception was held in the Tesoro Viejo Town Center at AXIS Coffee Bar + Eatery.

Q: Describe what you enjoy about living at Tesoro Viejo.

A: We love discovering single track trails covered in wildflowers, especially at Ledger Island, and really enjoy the peace of the river. The ability to leave your front door and step right into nature is truly something special.

Q: Choose one word to describe the vibe in your neighborhood.

A: Peaceful

Q: What’s your favorite amenity in the community?

A: Trails of all types and the stunning mountain views.

Q: Give us one fun fact about your life right now!

A: We are so happy to be closer to my son and his family who already have a home here.

One more fun fact! It is so sweet getting to ride our bikes to the place where we got married. We get to reflect on that day that was celebrated with 60 of our friends and family.
