Their story reflects what it means to build a life where living, working, and connecting with others happens naturally every day.
Q: How long have you lived at Tesoro Viejo, and why did you choose this community?
A: We have lived in Tesoro Viejo since November 2020. We were immediately drawn to this community because it truly felt so inviting, friendly, open, and unique. We quickly realized there is nowhere else in town that offers such wonderful community events, a gorgeous club house, open trails, beautiful homes, parks, and more. Moving to Tesoro has been one of the best decisions we’ve made and we really do love it here.
Q: Describe what it is like to live, work and play at Tesoro Viejo.
It is a dream. I feel so fortunate to be able to offer a convenient, self-care service to nearby neighbors. I have met so many great neighbors these last few years and I am so grateful for the relationships I have built out in Tesoro. When Teeth That Sparkle clients come to Tesoro for their whitenings, they always feel safe and welcome. They usually compliment the neighborhood, especially if it is their first time out here. They are always in-awe over all that this neighborhood offers and how much of a great community it is.
Q: Choose one word to describe the vibe in your neighborhood.
A: Homey.
Q: How do you “play” at Tesoro Viejo?
A: Where do I start? I am someone who loves to be active, so I walk the trails pretty much daily. I have a pair of roller blades, so I’ll frequently blade around the neighborhood, too. My husband and I take our dogs on walks often and take them to play at the dog park as much as we can as well. One of my favorite things to do in Tesoro is go up to Overlook Park. My girlfriends and I have curated beautiful picnics up there and we have the best time. Speaking of sunshine, I, of course, also love hanging out by the pool at the Ranch House. It always feels like a little staycation there. I have also taken several yoga and pilates classes at Camarena Health. They are great classes led by great instructors. Being able to do all these things right in my neighborhood is truly a gift.
Q: What’s your favorite amenity in the community, and why?
A: To no surprise, my favorite amenity would have to be the Ranch House. There is nothing like it and I am someone who loves hanging out by the pool, usually in hopes of getting super tan. I love that music is usually playing there and sometimes I’ll even bring a book to dive into as well (pun intended).
Q: If you were to give a tour of the community amenities to someone who has never been here, what would be your must-see stops?
A: The Ranch House would have to be the first stop. The gorgeous pool, cabanas, entertainment areas, and hot tubs are such incredible amenities we’re lucky to have here in Tesoro. It only makes sense to show them off first thing. Another must-see is Overlook Park because you can really see most of the neighborhood, while appreciating the views of nature upon a hilltop that has an adorable wooden swing and is just a perfect, quant spot. AXIS is another must because it really does offer this community a fun, chill vibe, while serving up some of the best food and beverages. AXIS is a gem and such a nice café to have here in Tesoro. While we love what Tesoro already has to offer, we frequently talk about how excited we are for all of its future plans, too.
Q: What does your typical work day look like?
A: Typically, my day starts with a quick workout before getting ready to make smiles sparkle. Many of my clients want whiter teeth before a wedding, vacation, or special event. Since it’s currently wedding season, almost graduation season, and we’re around the corner from summer vacations, I have been quite booked and busy. I love meeting new faces and providing a service that is all about offering self-care, relaxation, and a boost in confidence. My business is a one-woman show, so I’ll usually spend some time doing things like scheduling and creating content during the day, too. After my full day of clients, I’ll typically go on a long walk in the neighborhood and enjoy the beautiful sunset views we get out here. My husband and I will usually wind down together whether it’s reading, watching tv, or hanging out around our bonfire on a nice summer night.
Q: What are a few exciting things you plan to do this summer?
A: My family has a boat that we usually spend a lot of our summer days on. I am so excited for all the lake days to come. My husband and I also just booked a trip to Big Sur for this summer, which is where we got married, so it is very special to us and one of our favorite places to visit. We are especially excited to check out a natural hot spring there that looks over the ocean. We’re also going to Santa Barbara soon for a wedding and to meet our friend’s new baby. We’ll have to see what other trips we decide on at the last minute, but I also know I plan to spend many days soaking up the sun at the Ranch House!
Q: Give us one fun fact about your life right now!
A: Aside from my teeth whitening business, Teeth That Sparkle, I also make homemade granola. For a while it was sold at AXIS and may be coming back to their menu soon.
