Life, unprecedented, could only begin with a grand opening designed to wow. And on October 20th and 21st, Tesoro Viejo cut the ribbon on its epic lifestyle with two full days of fun, frolicking events at the Town Center. With kids and even fur babies in tow, more than 1,000 people drove down the tree-lined avenue to Town Center, ready to grab coffee at AXIS Coffee Bar & Eatery, explore the Altura models at Hillside Village, and get a taste for Tesoro Viejo’s small-town Main Street vibe as the cheerleaders and drumline from Minarets High School set a beat, working the crowd and showing off their school spirit.
Attendees got a one-of-a-kind welcome to The HUB courtesy of the Fresno State University mascot, Time Out, and members of the university’s cheer squad. Then it was on to Madera County Fire Station No. 7 for a meet-and-greet with the firefighters, who loved showing off their brand-new home base in the heart of the Town Center. Did you know the station’s new engine can hold 1,250 gallons of water? Amazing!
Add about the cutting of the ribbon with Valley Children’s mascot, George, Madera County Supervisors, Fire Chief and Sheriff along with members of Tesoro Viejo team. It was the grand opening for AXIS, too, and the lattes and cappuccinos were flowing. The coffee bar looks onto Town Center’s central courtyard and a crowd quickly made itself at home, savoring not just the caffeinated cold brew, but also samples of, well, cold brew from South Gate Brewing Company.
Finally, it was time to the tour the Altura model homes by McCaffrey Homes, the first of five unique neighborhoods coming to Hillside Village. Seeing the modern Farmhouse, Santa Barbara and Spanish-influenced architecture set against the rolling Tesoro Viejo landscape made the entire community come to life. Families began to dream about an epic lifestyle of their own. And with Tesoro Viejo now officially open, that dream can finally become a reality.
