Celebrating a Remarkable Year at Tesoro Viejo

As we bid farewell to an extraordinary year, Tesoro Viejo is excited to reflect on the milestones and community achievements that shaped the past twelve months. It has been a year of growth, unity and celebration, and we can’t wait to share the highlights with our cherished residents and prospective homeowners.

Tesoro Viejo in the Spotlight

We started the year off strong with Tesoro Viejo earning industry recognition with prestigious awards, including the 2023 Gold Award for National Community of the Year by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), the 2023 CVLUX Luxury Award for Best Community and a 2023 People’s Choice Favorite for Best Builder Planned Community. These accolades reflect our unwavering dedication to excellence in community living.

New Beginnings at Home

In 2023, Tesoro Viejo was delighted to welcome new homeowners into the community and unveil 11 model homes by McCaffrey Homes. Unveiled in the spring, these stylish homes featured plans from the PoppySavanna and Ivy collections, showcasing flexible floor plans with sprawling owner’s bedrooms, indoor and outdoor living, entertainment kitchens and more.

This year also brought the debut of the Sereno collection by DeYoung Properties in Creekside Village! The new construction collection features four single- and two-story floorplan designs priced from the mid $400,000s, ranging from 1,515 to 2,313 square feet of living space. Each home also highlights the De Young SmartHome package, which features green building designs, advanced smart home automation, energy conservation features and more!

Nurturing Community Well-Being

The Camarena Health and Wellness Center has been a game-changer for the Tesoro Viejo community. This 13,000-square-foot facility offers comprehensive healthcare services, dental care, health education, group workout classes and a fully equipped gym. With personalized health plans and exercise spaces, the health and wellness center reinforces our commitment to a well-rounded way of life.

A Haven for Our Furry Friends

One standout achievement of the year was the grand opening of Rosie’s Place, our state-of-the-art off-leash dog park. This canine paradise boasts specialized water features, an agility course, shaded rest areas and multiple hydration stations, ensuring our four-legged community members have a space to call their own. With designated areas for large and small dogs, open lawn spaces and a commitment to canine well-being, Rosie’s Place has become a beloved addition to Tesoro Viejo.

Expanding Green Spaces

In our ongoing commitment to providing ample outdoor spaces for our residents, we proudly unveiled Oak Knoll and Overlook Park. These additions increase the greenery within our community, offering peaceful retreats for relaxation, family picnics and outdoor play. It’s a testament to our dedication to fostering a balanced and vibrant lifestyle for everyone at Tesoro Viejo.

Coming Together as a Community

Every year, Tesoro Viejo takes pride in honoring the veterans in the Central Valley. This year’s Veteran’s Day celebration again featured the Field of Honor, where hundreds of flags flew on the Event Lawn, saluting the men and women who bravely served our country. The event also included a heartwarming pancake breakfast and was sponsored by Comcast, who generously donated $2,500 to the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).

Our Sixth Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony was a joyous occasion that brought our community together in the spirit of the season. The lighting of a magnificent 35-foot Christmas tree, holiday songs by Hillside School students, Polar Express train rides, a horse-drawn carriage, food vendors and a special appearance by both Santa kicked off a magical holiday season.

In 2023, Tesoro Viejo continued its tradition of giving back by hosting various fundraisers throughout the year. Once again, we proudly hosted and sponsored the American Heart Association’s Central Valley Heart & Stroke Walk, which raised over$215,000 for heart research in the fight against heart disease. The Third Annual Sip & Support event benefiting Valley Children’s Hospital was also a big hit. The wine and beer tasting event held at the Ranch House Clubhouse raised over $66,000 for the Valley Children’s Adaptive Sports program. These sponsorships underscore our commitment to supporting the health and well-being of our wider community.
