Thankful for a Community that Cares

As the leaves turn brilliant fall colors and the days get cooler, we at Tesoro Viejo have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving holiday season.

There’s something special happening at Tesoro Viejo and that’s the creation of a community.  For us, it’s more than building homes – it’s about weaving a social fabric that creates a strong foundation for family and neighbors to thrive

We are thankful for a community that cares.  There was no bigger testament to this than the recent Heart Walk that we hosted at Tesoro Viejo, benefiting the American Heart Association.  In the four years that we have hosted the Heart Walk, more than $1.2 million has been raised to support lifesaving research and education to fight heart disease and stroke.

We are passionate about health and wellness and that’s why we have created a community built around getting moving and enjoying nature.  This month we announced the official opening of our 14-mile trail system.  The trails span the community, connecting neighborhoods to one another for easy walking, running, or biking, letting walkers and runners explore the landscape with arroyos, rock outcroppings, riparian landscapes, grasslands, and other natural settings.

And, it brings us great joy to see families and their children enjoying the neighborhood parks, while connecting with neighbors.  From the play structure and grassy areas in Cordon Park to the bocce ball courts and inviting outdoor seating in Harvest Park – what a blessing to see this community come alive.

We are grateful for the families and neighbors who are building a strong community at Tesoro Viejo.  Wishing all a beautiful Thanksgiving holiday season with family and friends.
